WR6JPL: Downtown Los Angeles Repeater

In 1999, we moved our 224.700 repeater from Cerro Negro to one of the tall buildings downtown. This move was necessitated by not being able to secure enough 220 repeaters to support the Los Angeles Marathon. To support these efforts, the JPLARC installed the 224.700 repeater and an APRS node in one of the tall buildings. The Sunset Repeater Group also has one of their repeaters at this site to support the Marathon. This repeater is a stand-alone system and when not in use by the Marathon, is available for general amateur use.
